Artist Statement

“…Saabira’s Art Portfolio can be described as an in-depth exploration of colour, form and line. Her abstract-realist plant life and human form drawings lassos the subject in a tranquil loop of undulating lines and flowing colour.

Her drawings are very minimalist by nature; retaining only the core signifiers that make a subject known. Her unique and contemporary style boasts Saabira’s love for vibrant colours, playful lines and tranquil compositions…”

Saabira Razac | The Artist

In 2012, Saabira Razac received an Honors Bachelors of Fine Arts and a Bachelors of Economics from the University of Waterloo, Canada.

Saabira has been an active and practising Artist in Geelong, Australia for over 10 years. Her work has been showcased in many local and regional Art Exhibitions and cafes.

Saabira applies her unique style of Art making practises to a variety of materials, surfaces and subject matter.

To put it simplify, I was born in the twin island state of Trinidad and Tobago. My family comprised of my father, my mother, my younger sister of 4 years and myself. I have lived in many places over the years. Trinidad, many parts of Canada, Melbourne and presently Geelong, Australia.
